We want you to be happy with the records you buy from us. If you don't like what you got, you have 30 days to return it for a full refund. No questions asked.
Reasonable Prices
We try to make the money stuff make sense. One way we do this is by offering decent royalties to our artists. Another way is by keeping prices reasonable. $16 is just too much for a CD. We based our CD prices on the difference between what it costs to make a cassette and what it costs to make a CD.
We also try to keep prices low with our $3 shipping charge. Inside the US, shipping is always $3, whether you're ordering one album or ten.
We're From This Planet
We genuinely like other people, and we're glad to live in a world that's got so many cool beings. We also feel really lucky when we can lend a hand to the various organizations that are working to make the world a better place.
We make a monthly donation to a worthy cause. When we make a profit (which we haven't yet), it will be 10% of our pre-tax income. Until then, we'll still make a token donation. We'd like your suggestions for places that could use our money (details on page 8).
We also try to be environmentally friendly, using recycled paper and soy ink, avoiding shrink wrap, and trying to learn how to lessen the damage we do to the planet. We'd like to be in business for the next couple of centuries, and we can't do that if the planet dies.
Not Available In Any Stores
Well, actually, not available in many stores. Some of you have tried to find Racer albums in your local record store and had no luck. That's because we're intentionally avoiding the traditional means of distributing our albums and focusing on direct mail order. (We'll tell you more about that in the next newsletter.)
If you're interested in buying a Racer album (or two, or three), you can send in the order form below. We'll usually ship your order within 24 hours.
If you have a great local record store that you'd like to support, give them our 800 number and ask them to call us. We're happy to work with other folks who love music.
